San José del Palmar Recon Teams - Field Observations Aug 10 Quake

I’m glad to share that I am serving as the EERI Lead for the August 10, 2026, San José del Palmar, Colombia earthquake, alongside Ariadne Palma, Ph.D., E.I.T.. Together, we are leading the EERI Learning from Earthquakes (LFE) effort for this event. We are coordinating reconnaissance team efforts and collecting and organizing observations, findings, and resources from the field. If you participated in reconnaissance, inspections, site visits, or other field observations, or are planning a future reconnaissance mission, we would like to hear from you. Please reach out to connect. Your observations can help advance our understanding of the earthquake and support engineers and affected communities as they recover and rebuild. EERI has also created a clearinghouse for resources related to this event, including reports, observations, data, and other materials.
