Scientists With New Papers - Pitch Findings To Science Writers

If you’re a scientist looking to support science writers, this post is for you! ✨ In addition to working at a university coordinating graduate programs, I’m a freelance science writer, and in addition to that, an artist. Recently, I started selling my art at local open-air markets in the Bryan-College Station area. What has blown me away most at these markets has been the support of the people I know for my artistic work. It’s one thing to know that people support you – it’s another thing entirely to see it happen in real time, as new and familiar faces come up to your booth, look through the things you’ve worked so hard to create, and experience the world the same way you do for just a few minutes. Applying this support to science, I get asked – aside from readership – how my circle, and scientists beyond that, can support my writing (or science writers as a whole).
