Sextortion Victims in Canada Needed for CBC Marketplace

We're looking to speak with sextortion victims (MESSAGE POSTED WITH MOD APPROVAL) My name is Dexter, and I’m a journalist for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. I work for an investigative TV show called Marketplace. My colleagues and I are working on a story about sextortion in Canada, and I’d like to speak with Canadians who have had an encounter with someone who tried to use your personal photos to get you to pay. We’re hoping to talk to you about what went through your mind when you realized you were being sextorted, how you have been able to overcome those feelings since, who supported you and how, and any advice you have for others going through it. We know this is a sensitive subject and so we are willing and able to change your name and hide your identity during the interview. If you are confident to come on camera without obscuring your identity however, that always connects best with the viewers watching who might be going through a similar experience. Speaking with people who have first hand experience with sextortion really helps us understand the impact that it has on mental health, whether you want to be on-camera or not. You can reach me here, or at [email redacted] if you want to connect.
