Starbucks Partners - Union Files Bad-Faith Bargaining Complaint
After a year without negotiations, this week's renewed contract talks at Starbucks are off to a rough start, with the union filing a complaint with the government accusing the company of negotiating in bad faith.
The union says the company backtracked on seven items it had previously agreed to, made “punitive” proposals, and is acting “with the intent of preventing any agreement from being reached.”
Starbucks says it's bargaining in good faith, and that “It is appropriate that proposals reflect current business realities, customer expectations, and partner interests.”
