Journalist looking for your stories about parental surveillance apps like Bark, Aura, Life360, Qustodio, Family Link

Hi! I’m Kelly, a journalist writing a feature about parental-monitoring apps: Bark, Aura, Qustodio, Family Link, Life360, and similar (see links to my previous work in my bio). The point of the piece is that we always hear about these apps from parents and almost never from those who actually live(d) with them.
If you've had one of these apps on your phone, laptop, etc, I'd love to hear from you. Some specific things I'm trying to understand:
\+ How you found out the app was there
\+ What it actually did (and didn't do)
\+ What you did about it (workarounds, conversations, anything)
\+ How it affected things between you and your family
\+ Concrete issues/problems they raised for you
\+ How you feel about privacy now
\+ Anything else you'd like to share
Especially if you're 18+ and grew up with any of this:I'd love to hear about your relationship to online privacy now. Did being monitored as a teen change how you think about privacy as an adult? What you share, what you trust, what platforms you avoid?
All experiences welcome.
Comments are great if you're up for posting publicly. DMs also work if you prefer to be private. Anonymity is the default, and nothing you share gets quoted with anything identifying.
Thank you!
