Tour Case Studies-Slow Travel & Culture in Split Croatia-Forbes

Call for Pitches for Forbes PLEASE NOTE: All of these will be March stories, so the latest deadline is 28 February. Please ALWAYS send a link to photos and full name + title of the person providing the commentary. I rarely have time, sadly, to follow-up and ask for missing info. Sometimes I do, but other times I choose a different pitch with all necessary info. Please DO NO FOLLOW-UP before March 8, if you do not hear from me until then. I am collecting replies now, but I will only work on the stories in March after I published the International Women’s Day stories. How to Find the ‘Real’ Adriatic In Split, Croatia With new direct flights between Split and Newark, I have now a perfect excuse to write about Croatia. I’ve been visiting Croatia for over 20 years now. Have you seen my story about my favorite places on Business Insider? I would like to write a story about deep travel in Split. Not only seeing the obvious sights, but what to do to find the “Real Adriatic” vibe without traveling all around Croatia. I would like to highlight slow travel and cultural experiences that makes Split worth deep travelling for. Please do not pitch Plitvice National Parks. I know it is 3 hours away, one way. I prefer to highlight what you can do in and around Split. I will take 3-4 tour examples at most. This is a similar story where I talked about visiting Korea beyond the photo ops: Korea tours beyond K-Pop. I have already a sailing tour as an example with a Blue Cave alternative. Please pitch other types of tours: culinary, cultural, historic, walking in the city, hiking etc. Email:
