UC Berkeley Students - Homelessness & Housing Insecurity

Student housing insecurity and homelessness at Berkeley Hello! I'm writing about student homelessness at UC Berkeley, and would love to get some perspective from students! With the housing market being so crazy in Berkeley and on campus housing being both expensive and hard to get after your first year, I am curious about how large of an issue this is. Campus data shows it could be as high as 10 percent of students who have experienced homelessness while a student. I would love to hear if anyone has insight into unhoused students at Berkeley, or would be willing to share their own experiences being unhoused or facing housing insecurity while a student at Berkeley.
