UK Adults 80+ - Lifetime Tech, Economic & Social Change

Paid nonfiction book interview, £70/hour. Seeking someone aged 80+ in the UK to talk about a lifetime of technological, economic and social change Hi everyone! :) I am writing a nonfiction book and I am looking for one person aged 80+ in the UK who would be interested in taking part in a series of paid conversations over the next few weeks until September 28. The book is about the enormous technological, economic and social changes that can take place within a single lifetime. I am interested in changes such as postwar austerity and rising prosperity, changes in work and the economy, Thatcherism, changing relationships and family life, television and mass media, computers, the internet, smartphones and now AI. I am not looking for an expert or someone with an extraordinary CV. I am much more interested in finding someone who is curious, reflective and comfortable talking openly about how these changes shaped your life. The conversations could range naturally across childhood, work, money, relationships, family, technology, ageing, ambitions, disappointments, everyday routines and the ways Britain has changed around you. What interests me is the difference between how large historical or economic changes are described from the outside and what they actually feel like when they happen during one person's life. Time commitment: I would initially suggest around five hours of conversation, paid at £70 per hour, spread across several shorter interviews. If we both felt the conversations were working well, there could be further paid interviews afterwards. The interviews could initially take place by phone or video call, with the possibility of meeting in person depending on location. Anonymisation: You would appear under a pseudonym, with identifying details changed or removed, and we would agree clearly in writing beforehand how material from the conversations could be quoted, paraphrased or otherwise used.
