UK Pet Owners - Surprise Vet Bills & Managing Costs - The Guardian
The UK’s competition watchdog has ordered vets to cap prescription fees at £21 and proposed a cost-comparison website due to low public satisfaction with vet service costs. The Competition and Markets Authority found a lack of strong competition between veterinary businesses and wants pet owners to be aware that medicines may be cheaper online and that getting a prescription could save money.
