U.S. Med Lab Professionals - Limited AI/ML Adoption in Molecular Dx

Lab professionals: I could use your perspective on a finding that surprised me. I'm working on Medical Laboratory Observer's 2026 State of the Industry survey article on molecular diagnostics, and one result caught my attention: Among respondents who answered our question about AI/ML, nearly 70% said their labs aren't currently using AI/ML tools for molecular diagnostics — and have no plans to. With so much discussion about AI across healthcare, I'd like to better understand what's happening on the ground in the laboratory.
