Young Canadians in Skilled Trades - Choosing Trades Over Office Jobs
Media callout: Are young people rethinking the value of office jobs?
With AI reshaping white-collar work, more young Canadians appear to be turning to the skilled trades for stability, opportunity and higher earning potential.
I’m looking to interview young people who have chosen a career in the trades, especially those who weighed the pros and cons of a traditional office career versus hands-on skilled work.
Maybe you:
• chose trades over university
• went to university and later switched paths
• saw better long-term opportunities in the trades
• wanted work that felt more secure, practical or financially rewarding
If this sounds like you – or your son or daughter – I’d love to connect for an upcoming story in the Globe and Mail.
