Investors in Wallace Ventures (SA) - PhD & Neuroscience Claims

Is Carl Niklaus Wallace running a scam? You decide for yourself… We are looking into an individual named Carl Niklaus Wallace, following recent concerns about representations he is making in South Africa around the topics of neuroscience, autism and ADHD, and his alleged credentials. We are working on establishing the facts, and we would particularly like to hear from people who have previously invested in, worked for, partnered with, or done business with him. Wallace has spent much of the past decade presenting himself as a technology entrepreneur and has been associated with a substantial number of companies and ventures, including ViGO, Digital Drawing Room, Wapp, Digital HQ, Digemy, ydox and Dewly, among others. Some of these entities remain active. Others have subsequently ceased operating, entered deregistration processes or been deregistered. There is also a documented history of outside investment into businesses with which Wallace was associated. For example, contemporary startup reporting records external investment into Digemy and describes Wallace as an entrepreneur who had raised multiple rounds of funding across ventures. We are particularly interested in hearing directly from former investors because there are allegations now being examined concerning whether investors in some of these ventures received the outcomes they were led to expect, how invested funds were ultimately used, and what happened when particular businesses stopped operating. What makes the current situation unusual is Wallace’s very recent change in professional identity... Until recently, his publicly documented career was overwhelmingly in web, startups and business. He is now publicly describing himself as a neuroscientist and a PhD candidate in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Westminster in London. Much of the material being publicly posted by this individual exhibit clear signs of being AI-generated. In March 2026 he wrote publicly in LinkedIn: “I am now a PhD candidate in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Westminster, London.” He is now operating Spectrum Circle, which offers products, seminars and other services relating to neuroscience, autism and ADHD. Spectrum Circle publicly presents Wallace as a neuroscientist and relies heavily on neuroscience and academic language in describing its work. The academic background known to us does not appear consistent with this sudden transition at all. For that reason, the claimed University of Westminster affiliation is currently being independently checked through appropriate channels. A formal enquiry has been submitted to the University of Westminster Graduate School asking it to confirm whether Carl Niklaus Wallace is or has been registered there as a PhD candidate or doctoral researcher, whether the programme he publicly claims is accurate, and whether his claimed affiliation was active when he began making these statements. The matter has also been reported to the Health Professions Council of South Africa because the services concern autism, ADHD and neuroscience and may be understood by members of the public as involving specialist health, psychological or scientific expertise. The HPCSA has been asked to determine whether any of the representations or activities fall within areas subject to professional regulation. The South African events ticketing service Quicket has also been notified because Spectrum Circle events are being advertised and sold through its platform. Quicket has been asked what its process is when potentially misleading academic or professional representations connected with health-related events are brought to its attention, and whether listings should remain available while those questions are being investigated. Nothing in this post should be interpreted as confirmed claims of wrongdoing. Please submit any information privately and refrain from public allegations. The purpose is to create public awareness of the early facts, establish what actually happened across these businesses and whether the latest academic and professional representations now being made are genuine. Should evidence come to light confirming suspicion, such evidence will be sent through to appropriate authorities using appropriate channels and procesures.

Beauty Experts, Scientists & Founders - Original Beauty Vision

I’M LOOKING FOR YOU! A little while ago, I started BeautyJournaal Voices. There is so much being said in the beauty world. About trends, innovations, treatments, science, technology and everything that is supposedly going to shape the future. There’s an overload of opinions that all sound the same. I call it shouting for the sake of shouting. AI has made that incredibly easy too, and frankly, it’s not very inspiring. What interests me far more are the people who genuinely make you look at something differently. People who have been thinking about something for years. Who see something in their field and think: I believe we’re all looking at this far too simplistically. Or perhaps making it far more complicated than it needs to be. That’s what I want Voices to be. A bit like a TED Talk, but in writing. No story about your brand. No list of everything you do. And no yet another piece about a trend that is already echoing everywhere. I’m looking for people with a real vision. A conviction. Something that comes from within. The best outcome for me is when I finish reading a Voice and think: wow, I genuinely hadn’t looked at it that way before. That person could be a doctor, skin therapist, beauty professional, scientist, formulator, founder, technologist or psychologist — I honestly don’t mind. As long as there is a real idea underneath it. You write your Voice yourself. We then help with the final edit, sharpening the argument, structure and, where needed, the substantive underpinning. Have you been carrying around an idea for a while and thinking: this is something I really want to speak out about? Send me a message. I’ll send you my guidelines. We are a Dutch news website, but we welcome your participation in English as well. Have a lovely day, Monique

Long COVID Researchers - Viral Persistence Biology

Five years ago I caught a virus and never fully got better. The people who know me know what I was like before this. Ambitious to a fault. The one who brings the most energy into the room, takes the extra project, doesn't stop. An illness can take all of that overnight. Mine did. I persist anyway. Slower, with a lot more planning, and with a much better sense of what a day costs. But I persist. When I got sick I did the only thing I actually know how to do, which is go find out. I didn't look for answers on social media. There is a staggering amount of confident nonsense about this disease and I wanted the real thing, so I went to the papers. Then I went to the people writing them. That turned into serving on the NIH RECOVER biospecimen access committee. Helping design a RECOVER-TLC trial. Reviewing manuscripts. Interviewing twice at ARPA-H. I have a day job in tech that I love. This became the other one. Here is what I learned. There is now real evidence that pieces of this virus can linger in human tissue long after the infection is called over. Viral RNA in the gut months later. Spike protein still circulating a year out. Activated immune cells turning up in the brainstem and spinal cord, where they have no business being. This is not a mystery illness. It is a disease with a biology, and that biology is finally coming into focus. So I'm writing a book about it. It's called Persistence. The title means two things and I mean both. There is the virus that won't leave the body. And there are the people who won't leave the question alone, the patients and the scientists who kept working while the world moved on. Sometimes life hands you a detour you have to chase, because nobody else is going to chase it for you. This is mine. My kids are going to look back on this someday. I don't need them to remember that their dad got sick. I want them to remember what he did about it. I won't tell you a cure is close, because it isn't yet. But the science is real and it is moving, and it is the thing that will end this. Not willpower. Not positive thinking. Research, funded and finished. I'll be interviewing researchers over the coming months. If you work in this field, I'd love to hear from you. And if you're sick and reading this, you were never imagining it.

Blender & After Effects Artist - Ant Fall Physics YouTube Short

[Hobby] Looking for a Creative Collaborator for My First Science YouTube Short Hi everyone! I'm Zeeshan, and I'm building a science storytelling project called Revigyan. I want to make short videos that explain science through engaging stories, thoughtful visuals, and clear explanations. I've just completed the script for my first short: Why can a tiny ant survive a fall from any height? I'm looking for someone who enjoys creating visuals and would like to collaborate on this one project. If you're learning or working with Blender, After Effects, Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve, motion graphics, or graphic design, I'd love to hear from you. A little transparency: I don't have a budget for this project right now, and I completely understand that creative work deserves to be paid. If you're looking for paid freelance work, I completely respect that this may not be for you. I'm hoping to find someone who genuinely wants to learn, experiment, and create something together. What I'll be contributing: I'll be taking care of the scientific and storytelling side of the project. That includes: • Research: Understanding the science behind the topic and making sure the information we present is accurate. • Scriptwriting: Turning that research into an engaging, concise story. • Story structure: Deciding what the audience should discover, when information should be revealed, and how the explanation flows. • Voice-over: Recording and delivering the narration. • Visual planning: Breaking the script into scenes and creating rough sketches/storyboards on my tablet to communicate what I'm imagining. • Creative direction: Establishing the overall tone, pacing, and purpose of each scene while remaining open to better ideas from the visual artist. • Project coordination: Organizing the workflow, communicating with the collaborator, reviewing the work, and bringing everything together into the final video. I'm not a 3D artist, and I don't want to pretend to be one. That's why I'm looking for someone whose visual skills can complement my scientific and storytelling skills. I don't want someone to simply follow instructions. I'd genuinely like the collaborator to bring their own ideas and creativity to the project. About the collaboration: This is one short video, with no long-term commitment. If we enjoy working together, we can always discuss future projects. I'll also make sure you receive clear credit for your contribution — your name will be credited/tagged with the video, and I'll mention your contribution in the comments. If Revigyan becomes financially sustainable in the future, I'd also like to fairly reward the people who helped build it from the beginning. I can't guarantee that, so I don't want anyone joining with that expectation. Visual direction: I'm aiming for clean, cinematic science storytelling, inspired by creators like Cleo Abram — not to copy their work, but because I admire how they make complex ideas visually engaging. For this first project, I'm not expecting Hollywood-level animation. I simply want us to learn, experiment, exchange ideas, and create something we're both proud of. If this sounds interesting, feel free to comment or DM me. I'd be happy to share the script and discuss the idea. Thanks for reading!
