Case studies must be happy to be named and pictured (the man AND woman in where I'm searching for couples. **I'm on [email redacted] if you can help.** * **Two couples aged 35+ with a big wage gap - the man will earn significantly more** (I already have a couple where the woman's the breadwinner) BUT the woman still pays half of everything, from the bills, mortgage and food shopping to holidays, either because she wants to or he insists. This will mean that she's either in debt or unable to save. £300 per couple. * **A woman aged 45+ who has had a considerable drop in earnings since hitting middle age.** Perhaps she was made redundant and couldn't get a job with an equivalent salary, or has been overlooked for jobs and promotions. As a consequence she will no longer be able to afford the lovely, middle class lifestyle she once had... Aldi has replaced M&S, she can't dine out or buy new clothes on a whim or take multiple (or any) holidays a year. Everything now has to be accounted for. That sort of thing. £300 payment. * **A couple aged 40+ who used to have a joint bank account but it caused too many arguments **- who was spending more, contributing less, what they were each spending money on etc. Since ditching the joint account (other than, perhaps, for the mortgage and bills) their relationship is more harmonious. £300 payment. UK Primark Shoppers - Reaction to Price Cuts

"Primark isn't even cheap anymore!" It's something I've heard repeatedly, both in-person and online - especially as shoppers compare Primark's prices to super-fast-fashion giants Temu and Shein, or sites likes Vinted and Depop. But yesterday, Primark announced it was lowering prices across hundreds of items - actual price reductions, not just a sale. It's a big move - when something normally sells for £10, reducing it by £2 is a significant hit on profits. Will this be enough to lure in shoppers? I'm working on an article for the BBC News website about this and I'm looking for people to speak to. Do you like shopping at Primark, or do you avoid it?
